With over two decades of experience, Tijjani Abdullahi Dalhatu has cultivated versatility and expertise across insurance, reinsurance, and enterprise risk management roles. He built specialized skills starting with an Actuarial Science degree from Ahmadu Bello University in 2000. To further strengthen business acumen, Dalhatu added an MBA in Strategic Marketing Management from ABU in 2004.

Early insurance tenure included client services and underwriting for companies like Yankari Insurance and Amana Capital Pensions through 2008. To advance technical capabilities, Dalhatu completed insurance training on topics like oil and gas risk, while earning certifications as an Associate Chartered Insurer of Nigeria (ACIIN) in 2004 and an Associate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (AMNIM) in 2005.

By 2009, Dalhatu moved into leadership positions, managing UnityKapital Assurance’s reinsurance activities followed by broader regional oversight. He continued gaining niche expertise by completing an International Certificate as a Certified Risk Management Professional (CIRM) in 2013.

Over 2014 to 2020, Dalhatu leveraged multifaceted insurance and risk skills as Head of Insurance and Quality Assurance for the Nigeria Security Printing and Minting PLC. During this period, he also became a Fellow Certified Insurer of Nigeria (FCIIN) and elevated to Fellow Member of the Institute of Islamic Finance Professionals (FIIFP) in 2021.

Currently, Dalhatu deploys three decades of industry knowledge as Executive Director of Operations for Salam Takaful Insurance. With diverse risk management credentials and dedication to Islamic finance, he champions strategic progress across technical, marketing and customer engagement functions. 

As both a FIIFP and distinguished CIIN honoree, Dalhatu models persistent achievement.
